BBQ Benefit Fundraiser for Drake Gibson
We are raising money for one of our church members, Drake who is 18 years old. Drake was diagnosed with Stargardt disease. Which is a disease caused by the death of photoreceptors cells in the central portion of the retina called the macula. He has been going to Duke Hospital and told that their is nothing else they can do. Drake's mother has been doing research and found a doctor in New Jersey that has a 85% rate of curing or stopping the progress, but her insurance won't pay for it because it's experimental. The price is $4,000 and they have to stay in New Jersey for a week and go back in a month. Without treatment he will eventually be blind. Please help us support Drake by purchasing BBQ plates that will be sold on Friday, October 6th or make a donation on the GoFund Me page that has been created. (Link is located in the comments) Thank you for you support. If you have any questions, please call or text 704-747-7652.... See MoreSee Less
